Traffic Study
The DOT performed a traffic study of Oconomowoc in 2009 including the intersection Thackeray Trail and Summit Avenue. The traffic study indicates that there are over 15,000 cars on average entering this intersection.
Another key point of this traffic study is the amount of traffic that currently travels Forest Drive and Silver Lake Street. Combined there are over 6000 cars on average traveling two those streets combined. If Thackeray Trail were extended to Silver Lake Street it is very likely that a portion of that traffic will be diverted to Thackeray Trail.
